The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) will host its own version of the World’s Largest Swim Lesson on Friday, August 1, 2025, a global initiative designed to raise awareness about the importance of swim instruction and drowning prevention. This free event offers an introductory swim lesson for DC children ages 6–12, focusing on basic swim techniques and core water safety principles.
